The best holidays

I think that my best holiday it was in July of the 2007. Me and a part of my family we made a travel at the north of Chile. In that occasion we spend almost a month travelling. Our trip's starting point it was in Curicó, because in that city lives my nuclear family.

We traveled in my grandfather’s van and as we were advancing in north direction highway we stopped in certain cities. We stopped in Coquimbo, La Serena, Calama, Tocopilla, and Iquique, principally; in this regard, the farthest city we reached on this trip was Iquique.

In the most part of those cities we have some relatives and friends -indeed, that was the reason for us to stop in those cities-, so we make the occasion to visit them and spend some time with them; we had not seen most of them since a lot of time -even more, we visited relatives who I did not know-, so it was a trip of reencounters.

Besides of the family reencounters, the geographic locations and landscapes are quite impressive, especially the Atacama Desert. Moreover, we had the possibility of know a lot of places and cities, and we also had enough time to travel it, so it was a very nice and special trip.

A country I would like to visit: India

Hi fellows, I hope you have had an excellent week of celebration!

Well, respect at the topic of the post of this week, the country that I actually like to visit is India. As you know, the Republic of India is a country in South Asia, and it is the second-most populous country of the world.

The things that I know about India are mostly consistent with the reasons that I have for wanting to visit that country. As first, is a country with an a extraordinary cultural richness, amazing geographic locations and wonderful and diverse wildlife. Also, Indian architecture is quite impressive: palaces and temples are very astonishing.

Moreover, respect at the cultural richness of the India, which is characterized by the pluralism and syncretism, this country has been the cradle of the development of important religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism.

Respect to the population of India, it is a multilingual and multiethnic society, with large differences depending of the geographical area. Despite the fast economic growth experienced by this country in the last years, it still has high rates of poverty, illiteracy , malnutrition and inadequate public healthcare.

I hope to someday visit the Republic of India and travel it extensively.

First Term

Hello everyone, my name is Daniela Espinosa, I’m 22 years old and I’m studying Psychology. I was born in Curicó and most of my family stills live there. And here I am a Friday afternoon, sitting at the computer , writing this words. Lucky me that one of the things that I like to do in my free time is to write –but not in English-. I also like to see movies and play guitar, as you see, I don’t like activities that requires too much physical effort.
Well, is supposed that I have to talk about my first term and the good and bad points of it, so I must start saying that it was a very wearisome term in which I coursed five electives, English III and a sport course. By conclude, I didn’t have too much problems or challenges to face off in the last semester.
Have a great weekend!
Greetings, Daniela.
